My name is Cindy Maquet and I have been a fitness instructor for 7 years. I teach cycle, bootcamp, strength, barre and yoga. I love to run. I am a certified personal trainer and certified InForm health coach.  I have been interested in health and fitness since I was a little girl and played tennis competitively through college. When I am not teaching I am running around three kids to all their activities. I am a member of my kids school PTA (Whittier School). I moved to Downers Grove less than one year ago.  I joined the Downers Grove Women’sJuniors Club and enjoying this fun town!


Beth spent her “former life” as a consultant, and then 10 years as a SAHM.  She discovered her passion for fitness after joining her first gym in her mid 30s (GASP!).  Her passion for fitness quickly escalated and she has earned multiple group fitness certifications in various disciplines. She has since taught formats ranging from dance, to bootcamp, to barbell to senior fitness.

When not at SPENGA, Beth will be found spending time with her husband and 2 children (this often includes shuttling them to their various soccer and school activities).  She is usually also in the process of planning the next family vacation.


Amy’s been in the fitness industry for over 12 years and knows the secret to staying fit is making it a lifestyle. That’s why she makes sure to balance her favorite pasta dish from Frankie’s Ristorante with a heart-pumping SPENGA session.

Her love for all types of fitness led her to help create SPENGA. As an instructor, Amy creates a high-energy atmosphere. Her contagious enthusiasm will change how you feel about fitness. She’ll push you harder through every ride, rep, revive and ensure you get the best. workout. ever.

When she’s not at SPENGA, you’ll find Amy rollerblading with her chocolate lab, Bailey.


Jenylle has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. She loves the SPENGA concept because of the high energy atmosphere and combining all 3 elements of fitness. She strives to push you further in reaching your goals in each of her classes! Jenylle learned early in life what a positive role fitness provides – physically and psychologically.

Heather R

Heather’s always had a passion for fitness and staying active. Growing up, she was a competitive runner and swimmer, and even went on to earn a 2nd degree black belt – hold the wax on, wax off jokes.

She helped create SPENGA and has been a personal trainer for over 15 years. As an instructor, Heather will lead you through an unrivaled fitness experience, and motivate you to change your mind and body.

When Heather’s not at SPENGA, she’s busy creating her foundation focused on youth activity, or hanging out with her husband and two kids – who don’t own a video game system, but do own a giant trampoline and buckets of sports equipment.


Lauren started working in the fitness boutique industry when she taught classes at a barre studio a few years ago, but has always found the importance in maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Hiking, biking, snowboarding and anything on the water keeps her moving and grooving through life. Her sense of adventure and love for being active inspired two bicycle tours over the past two years (pedaling over 6,200 miles across the country) which ultimately led her to SPENGA.

When Lauren isn’t at SPENGA (or planning her next adventure) she is outdoors with her fiancé, Wes, and her two dogs, Tumalo and Rogue.


Lisa’s dance-filled childhood and marathon running days set the stage for her lifelong love of fitness.  Once she heard about SPENGA’s spin, strength, and yoga sessions – a combination of her favorite workout formats – she was hooked!

Lisa’s a yogi at heart, but don’t worry. Her workouts pack a punch that will leave you challenged, inspired and feeling strong!


Laurel has worked in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and director for over 10 years. Her goal is to make every session a challenge while still having fun and obtaining individual goals. She loves the method behind Spenga because it’s class design will constantly keep you guessing and on your toes.

When shes not teaching at Spenga you can find her competing in triathlons and spending time with her husband Nick and their two Siberian Huskies Ajax and Aurora


Erin is extremely excited to finally be a part of the SPENGA family! She has worked in the fitness industry for seven years and has taught group fitness as a certified BODYPUMP, CXWORX, GRIT and TRX instructor for the last five years. One of her most rewarding jobs was being an assistant trainer at the Biggest Loser Resort in Chicago. “Watching the perseverance of people who have made a complete lifestyle change was amazing.”

Erin loves the energy and motivation in a group fitness setting and her love for music will show as each song pushes you to the end of your workout. At home, Erin enjoys her three children, ages seven, five and one and likes to hang out with her husband and their awesome group of friends and family.
